Improved memory management lets zeroCode built apps squeeze more from your hardware.
Bangalore, India. 27th April 2007. Applications development tools vendor PK4 today announced the release of
zeroCode version V3R6. With this release, the efficiency of running multiple zeroCode applications increases dramatically.
Previously, each zeroCode-created application was configured to run in a separate Jetty server with
unique port numbers. Thus each zeroCode application required a separate Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to run. With this new release,
multiple zeroCode-created applications can be configured to run under a single JVM, drastically reducing memory requirements and
the resources required to manage multiple applications.
The zeroCode Runtime Engine or the zRE can now be ported
to any J2EE complaint application servers like JBoss, Tomcat, WAS, WASCE, Web Logic,
Oracle Application Server, etc without any modification. Being Struts-compliant, a zeroCode-built
application includes the appropriate control files and
entries, ensuring a very high degree of maintainability and extensibility.
zeroCode V3R6 introduces new dataports like the Lucene dataport,
Google search dataport and Encode Decode Dataports as default dataports within the zeroCode Design Environment.
It also provides sequence support for postgresql, Mckoi, Oracle and
MySQL databases. The user can map the sequence for these databases automatically within the zeroCode Design Environment.
"With this release of zeroCode, we have reduced the complexity of managing multiple zeroCode applications
running on the same server. At the same time, we have made it easier for zeroCode built applications to be
integrated into popular Web application servers, making the apps themselves much more scalable and robust!'" says Narasimhan Mandyam, CEO, PK4.
