Creating a new Meta-template family
 
You can add a new metatemplate family by following the steps listed out below.
In the zDE, choose the siteName/metaTemplates directory, where “siteName” is the name of the application site you created.
Click the “create Directory” button in the header frame.
In the pop-up that appears, key in a name for the directory, which will be the name for your new meta-template family. Let us assume you called it “test”. Click the “OK” button to continue.
This creates a new directory for your meta-templates.
 
If you have created a new meta-template for this family, you can upload it to this directory using the “Upload File” button in the header frame. If you want to modify the existing meta-templates, you can copy them from any of the existing families like Standard or Sample, and modify them.
If you are copying the meta-templates from the “standard” meta-template family:
Choose the siteName/metaTemplates/standard directory where “siteName” is the name of the application site you created.
Check the checkbox for the corresponding meta-templates you wish to copy. If you intend to copy all the meta-templates from here, you can simply check the checkbox labeled “All”, which will select all the meta-templates for you.
Click the “Copy file (s)” button in the header frame, to copy these files onto the clipboard.
Choose the siteName/metaTemplates/test directory where “siteName” is the name of the application site you created, and “test” is the name of the new meta-template family you created.
Click the “Paste from clipboard” button in the header frame, to paste the copied files from the clipboard into the new meta-template family.
You can now go ahead and make changes in the meta-templates in this family and regenerate your site using this meta-template family.
Removing an existing Meta-template family
Choose the siteName/metaTemplates directory, where “siteName” is the name of the application site you created.
Check the checkbox for the corresponding meta-template family you wish to remove.
Click the “Delete file(s)” button in the header frame.
This pops up a confirm dialog, wherein you can click “OK” if you wish to continue with the deletion, or “Cancel” if you wish to cancel the deletion.
