Customer Profile: Our customer is a consortium of companies providing title insurance, Settlement services, title and escrow services. The customer also provides various real estate related services through its group companies. Each of these companies operates independently and has their own financial systems and databases.
Challenge: The customer maintained twelve production databases to support title insurance, settlement services, and title and escrow services in a centralized data center. There were about 120 sales representatives in the field who needed to access such information in addition to corporate executives and managers. Users had to export large reports into excel where they had to slice and dice the information. To make matters worse, many production reports did not even support export capability.
Solution:PK4's solution was to deploy a browser-based reporting portal accessible only to authenticated users within the company. The report portal was integrated with Share Point Portal Server, which acted as the presentation layer to the reports and other functionality.
